We offer nine hardwood species: Beech, Oak, Wenge, Zebrano, Padouk, Amaranth (Purpleheart), Sucupira, Etimoe, and Amazaque. Each has its own character — visit our Materials page for full descriptions.
Are your products made from solid wood?
The main wooden parts are made from solid hardwood, and we select visible wood by hand. Some functional bases, such as tray bottoms, may use plywood finished with real wood veneer for stability and a better finish.
What leather do you use?
Where leather is used, we work with natural leather that is hand-cut and fitted in the workshop. It will soften and develop character with use, just like the wood.
How do I care for my piece?
Keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight and extreme moisture. If the wood feels dry, apply a small amount of beeswax or food-safe wood oil. Wipe the leather lining with a dry cloth. Do not submerge in water.

How soon will my order ship?
Most Darewy pieces are prepared ahead in small batches, so available products can usually move to shipping faster than a made-to-order workflow. You will receive a notification when your order ships.
What if a product is out of stock?
If a piece or wood option is sold out, use “Notify me when available” on its product page to request an email when it returns. You can also contact us if you are waiting for a specific wood species or product family.
Can I return or exchange my order?
You can return an order within 30 days of delivery. Opening or handling an item does not remove your right to return it. If handling beyond what is needed to inspect the item reduces its value, we may deduct that loss from your refund. Items made to your specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from the right of withdrawal.
